Liability Insurance Coverage

Bluechip Tree Company is fully covered with liability insurance. Beware of low bids from tree service contractors, often this indicates little or no insurance coverage. Because accidents do happen even to the most experienced tree service providers, it’s imperative customers ask to see the tree service contractors certificate of insurance.

(Certificate of insurance available upon request).

Tree Pruning Standards

The National Arborists Association has devised a set of pruning standards to avoid confusion when contracting tree care. The three pruning classes described below are the same in how the pruning cuts are to be made, the equipment used and any diseases problems treated. The difference lies in the size and number of branches to be pruned.

Pruning Classifications

Class 1

Class 1

Class 1

(Fine Pruning) involves pruning branches one-half inch or more in diameter. It is recommended for premium quality work with emphasis on aesthetics and structural integrity. This type of pruning is time consuming and requires great skill on the part of the arborist.

Class 2

Class 1

Class 1

(Standard Pruning) involves pruning branches on inch or more in diameter, and is recommended when aesthetic considerations are secondary to structural integrity and tree health. It leaves a tree looking natural and there is seldom a problem with over pruning. Most of the pruning don of residential and commercial properties is class 2.

Class 3

Class 1

Class 3

(Hazard Pruning) is the removal of branches that could be hazard to the life or property and involves pruning braces two inches or more in diameter. This is the most economical class of pruning.
